Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Echoveil, operated by Clearline Tech Methods LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using Echoveil, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

The App

Echoveil is an AI-powered, 5th Edition-based space opera RPG for iOS. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Accounts and Game Data

Echoveil uses a device-based identifier to store your characters, campaigns, and progress. You are responsible for your device. If you lose access to your device or uninstall the app, we may not be able to recover your data. Back up your progress when prompted.

In-App Purchases

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
All sales are final. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies.
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or change the price of in-app content with reasonable notice.
Purchased content is licensed to you, not sold. It is tied to your Apple ID.

AI-Generated Content

Echoveil uses AI to generate narrative responses, story content, and game master dialogue. This content is generated dynamically and may not always be accurate, consistent, or appropriate. You agree not to use AI-generated outputs from Echoveil for commercial purposes outside the app.

Do not attempt to use the AI game master to generate content that is harmful, illegal, or violates these Terms. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the AI systems.

Your Content

Characters, campaign names, and other custom content you create in Echoveil remain yours. By saving them in the app, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content to run the game. We don't claim ownership of your creative work.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app or its AI systems
Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage
Resell or sublicense access to the app or its content
Scrape or extract data from the app or its servers

Intellectual Property

Echoveil, The Veil, all character classes, species, factions, lore, artwork, and all other content in the app are original IP owned by Clearline Tech Methods LLC. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to use our trademarks, trade names, or branding outside the app.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Echoveil is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, about the app's reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee the AI game master will always produce accurate, consistent, or appropriate content.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clearline Tech Methods LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Echoveil. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of Echoveil after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
